DAN VEENEMA

Dan Veenema is the youngest of four boys born to John and Wanda Veenema, and their third son to wear a Dresden Jr King jersey.

Dan started skating when he was a mere 3 years old and segued in to the Dresden Minor Hockey Association. He became a Dresden Jr King in 2001- 2003 playing defensive forward , penalty kill specialist.

Dan moved on to the Tecumseh Chiefs OWJHL Jr B from 2003 – 2005, then the Elmira Jackels NY USA UHL 2005 – 2006, from there to the Austin Ice Bats Texas USA CHL 2006-2007. Back to Canada with the Brantford Blast OSAHL 2008-2009, and now Petrolia Squires WSAHL 2009 – 2012. Interestingly, four of Dan’s Squires mates played with him in 2002-2003 when the Kings went to the Jr C finals. Huh! 

Today, Dan lives in Petrolia. He is employed by Blue Water Power.
